Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer with strong expertise in network software development, especially in OCP SAI, networking ASIC SDKs, Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, test frameworks, and ASIC pipeline architecture.
The role involves developing and maintaining SDK and SAI features, handling feature feasibility and scale analysis, writing and executing test plans, and debugging complex networking issues in large-scale live network environments. The engineer will work closely with hardware, QA, and DevOps teams, participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, and contribute to open-source networking ecosystems.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong programming skills in Python and C, experience with PyTest/PTF validation, and a good understanding of network ASICs, switch hardware architecture, and L2/L3 protocols such as VLAN, STP, BGP, and OSPF. Experience with SAI Challenger, SDN controllers, programmable data planes, open-source contributions, and GenAI tools will be an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain SDK & SAI features
- Handle feature requests including feasibility/scale analysis, development and testing
- Write and execute test plans for all deliverables
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex networking issues at scale on live network systems
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, QA, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and deployment
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and documentation efforts
- Contribute to open-source communities and stay current with the evolving ecosystem
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network software development
- Proficient in Python & C
- Experience with PTF (Packet Test Framework) and PyTest for validation
- Good grasp of networking features and concepts
- Knowledge of network ASICs and switch hardware architecture
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications :
